Jim and his wife Judy are both Clarksville natives.  Jim’s childhood home and current home are both less than a mile to ORIGIN Park.  He is a graduate of the University of Evansville and a graduate of the University of Louisville’s Brandeis School of Law.

Jim worked 30 years for Farm Credit of Mid-America, serving as General Counsel and Senior Vice President of Corporate Services.  For 20 years Jim served on and chaired the nation-wide Farm Credit Foundations’ Retirement Trust Committee and Plan Sponsor Committee.  During his employment year’s, Jim’s outside volunteer work was church related.  He served on the Parish Council, School Board and Stewardship Commission at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Clarksville.


Post-retirement Jim has remained active.  Jim served for 5 years in a part-time position as Director of Stewardship at St. Anthony and continues to facilitate a Stewardship program for the Parish school.   Jim has been involved in volunteer work with the Town of Clarksville.  He served as citizen volunteer and chair of the City-Town Study Committee that recommended that Clarksville should remain a Town and change to a Council-Manager form of government.   Jim currently serves on the Town of Clarksville Historic Preservation Commission.  In 2017, Jim became a founding Director of River Heritage Conservancy.  This role led him to serve on a citizen group evaluating the possibility of a UNESCO and/or National Park Services designation for the region featuring the Falls of the Ohio Fossils.
