THE VISTA CONSTRUCTION IS UNDERWAY!

Formerly known as the  Event Center, The Vista is soon to be an amazing addition to Origin Park. The 14,000 square foot building is designed to bring the community together.  The surrounding garden spaces will become an “in-demand” venue for our community, allowing us to gather and celebrate on the Ohio River like never before.

THE VISTA WILL OPEN IN 2026 AS THE HUB OF ORIGIN PARK.

As the design process commenced, we were struck by the view of the Ohio River from this vantage point.
We selected the top of the bluff, looking downstream, to be the location for weddings, corporate events, and even intimate concerts.

The Vista

Groundbreaking Event

On November 14th, 2024, stakeholders from both local and state levels joined the River Heritage Conservancy board and staff to celebrate a historic event for Origin Park; the groundbreaking of the 14,000 square-foot event center.

The Vista will reflect the splendor of its natural surroundings and will feature gardens that will highlight the Ohio River's beauty. "It will be a gathering site for the community, a space for events and gatherings," said Dennis Schnurbusch II, CEO of River Heritage Conservancy.

The Vista construction costs are expected to range between $17 and $18 million, with a projected completion date in the first quarter of 2026.

This transformative project has been made possible through the generous support of donors such as The Ogle Foundation, Blue Sky Foundation, The Bales Foundation, First Harrison Bank, First Savings Bank, and over $3 million provided by the State of Indiana through a READI Grant, which helped kickstart the initiative, along with other generous individuals.
